One of a pair of exquisite, antique silver armbands purchased in Pechawar, Pakistan, on the border with Afghanistan, near the Khyber Pass. This arm band has required an incredible level of workmanship and expertise in its creation. It is made up of a series of units, hand cut into rows of zigzags that fit into each other as if part of a jigsaw. They are then threaded onto a multi-strand of black cotton which is adjustable in length. Can be worn as an arm band or bracelet.
